Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic café team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality coffee and food items in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, retail math, and POS systems, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

We are currently seeking weekend help (Fridays/Saturdays 9AM - 11pm) Part time and full time positions available

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using established recipes and techniques.
• Handle food preparation tasks including basic food handling, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Clover POS accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote sales of café products.
• Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is mandatory; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and managing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
