Job Summary

District Coffee House is seeking a friendly and dependable Barista to join the café team. The ideal candidate will prepare quality coffee and espresso beverages, assist guests with menu selections, and maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment. This position is suitable for someone who enjoys coffee, teamwork, and providing excellent hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and other beverages according to recipes.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and coffee brewing equipment safely.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, taste, and presentation.
• Welcome guests and answer questions about café beverages and menu items.
• Take orders and process payments accurately.
• Keep the coffee bar, counters, and equipment clean and organized.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, cups, lids, syrups, and other supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing tasks and daily cleaning.
• Communicate with team members to support efficient service.
• Monitor supply levels and report shortages to management.
• Help create a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or café experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in coffee preparation and espresso beverages.
• Willingness to learn recipes and café procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Attention to cleanliness, accuracy, and beverage quality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
