About the role

We are seeking a talented and passionate Barista to join the dynamic team at JUNGLE PADEL UNGASAN. This is a full-time position based in South Kuta, Bali, where you will be at the heart of our hospitality operation, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service whilst maintaining the highest standards of beverage preparation and presentation. Your expertise and friendly demeanour will be instrumental in enhancing the overall guest experience at our venue.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee-based beverages, including espresso drinks, cappuccinos, lattes, and speciality coffees with precision and consistency
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and health and safety standards
• Ensure all beverages meet quality standards and are presented professionally and appealingly to guests
• Provide friendly and attentive customer service, engaging with guests and making personalised drink recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station, equipment and surrounding work areas at all times
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments efficiently using the point-of-sale system
• Stock and inventory coffee supplies, milk, syrups, pastries and other beverage ingredients
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery during peak hours
• Adhere to all food safety, health and hygiene regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Proven barista experience in a busy hospitality or café environment
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso machine operation
• Ability to create consistent, high-quality coffee beverages with attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests
• Physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Barista certification or formal training in coffee preparation is preferred
• Experience in a resort, club or leisure venue is advantageous
