We're looking for a friendly, energetic, and dependable Barista / Café Team Member who enjoys creating memorable experiences for every guest.

As part of our team, you'll prepare quality drinks and food, provide outstanding customer service, and help maintain the welcoming atmosphere that makes IGGY'S CAFE a favorite destination. Whether you're serving a morning espresso, preparing a specialty latte, or helping guests discover our Filipino-inspired menu, you'll play an important role in delivering hospitality with every interaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment and wants to grow their skills in customer service, food preparation, and specialty coffee.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks according to café recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist with preparing and serving bakery items, sandwiches, breakfast offerings, and Filipino-inspired menu items.
• Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly attitude while providing attentive and personalized customer service.
• Accurately take customer orders and process payments using the café's point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café by cleaning workstations, dining areas, beverage stations, and equipment throughout each shift.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations when handling food and beverages.
• Restock ingredients, beverages, bakery items, and café supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members during busy service periods.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment setup, cleaning, and cash handling procedures.
• Represent IGGY'S CAFE by delivering exceptional hospitality and creating a welcoming experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Previous café, barista, restaurant, bakery, or customer service experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
• Passion for coffee, food, and providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Friendly, positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable operating a POS system and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform the physical duties of a café environment.
