Barista

The Corner Café is seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista to prepare high-quality coffee and specialty beverages while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and specialty beverages.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other beverage equipment.
• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, recipes, and presentation.
• Keep the coffee station, counters, and customer areas clean and organised.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and other supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Respond to customer questions and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Work collaboratively with café colleagues to maintain smooth service.
• Help monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are low.

Qualifications

• Previous barista or customer-service experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-based beverages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly attitude and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Willingness to learn new recipes and beverage techniques.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Schedule

Full-time café schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: £16.00-£23.00 per hour
