OYESPA and Salon is the premiere wellness retreat and day spa location for Inver Grove Heights. Our holistic philosophy offers customers the highest quality spa services and unique programming within a modern and sophisticated setting to guests.

We are seeking extra ordinary Barista's who can engage with our amazing customers and provide services that exceed customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Experience in short order cooking.
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.
• Prepares coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, Espresso, Caffe Latte, and Cappuccino.
• Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications; maintaining personal networks.
• Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Responsible to open or close cafe as per guidelines, maintain staff schedules, inventory management and day to day operations.
• Maintain restaurant ambiance by monitoring food presentation, cleanliness, sanitation and lighting.
• Maintain proper uniform following uniform and dress code guidelines.
• Run quality checks during opening, mid and closing of shifts.

Desired Skills and qualifications

• CFPM would be a plus
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years experience working in a cafe
• 3+ years experience as short order cook
• Has strong professional presentation, technical ability and relationship building
• Actively participates in advance training or ongoing education in specific skill trade
• Experience in administrative or operational and computer skills would be a plus
• Certificate in culinary arts is a plus
