Duties

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards
• Operate Toast POS system to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
• Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give correct change using cash handling best practices
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, countertops, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
• Assist in food handling and food preparation tasks to ensure quality and safety standards are met
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in food service is highly preferred; café experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems for retail transactions
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math accuracy
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
• Previous beverage service or drink preparation experience is desirable but not required; training will be provided
