Barista

Kozi Cafe is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Barista to join its café team. The successful candidate will prepare quality coffee and other beverages, provide excellent customer service, and help maintain a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people, have an interest in coffee, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced café.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages to café standards.
• Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take orders accurately and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation, and preparation.
• Keep coffee machines, counters, and workstations clean and organized.
• Monitor supplies and restock coffee beans, milk, cups, and other ingredients.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with food service and other café duties when required.
• Support opening and closing procedures and daily cleaning tasks.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Respond politely to customer questions and help resolve minor concerns.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-based beverages is an advantage.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Friendly, reliable, and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
• Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Schedule

Full-time café schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: £16.00-£22.00 per hour
