What they need

About Casa Origen

Casa Origen Farm Kitchen is a new farm kitchen restaurant opening in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Our concept is centered around clean ingredients, thoughtfully sourced products, scratch-made food and beverages, and a commitment to preparing our menu without seed oils. We believe food should nourish people, bring communities together, and be served with genuine care.

Our beverage bar will specialize in high-quality coffee, espresso-based beverages, matchas, and freshly prepared smoothies. We are building a collaborative and respectful team that values consistency, hospitality, accountability, and attention to detail.

Position Summary

We are looking for friendly, energetic, and guest-focused Baristas to join our opening team.

Baristas will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, matchas, smoothies, and other specialty drinks while creating a warm and welcoming experience for every guest.

This role requires equal attention to beverage quality, speed, cleanliness, organization, and hospitality. Team members will be trained on both the coffee and smoothie areas of the bar and must be comfortable working across both functions.

Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, matchas, smoothies, and specialty beverages according to Casa Origen recipes and presentation standards.
  • Produce beverages accurately, consistently, and efficiently during both regular and high-volume service.
  • Follow all smoothie recipes, portions, ingredient specifications, and allergen procedures.
  • Welcome guests warmly, answer menu questions, and offer thoughtful beverage recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee and smoothie bar.
  • Restock coffee beans, milk, produce, ingredients, cups, and other supplies throughout the shift.
  • Properly clean and maintain espresso machines, blenders, refrigeration, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate low-stock or quality concerns to management.
  • Follow opening, closing, sanitation, food safety, and cleaning procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with cashiers, runners, kitchen employees, and managers.
  • Support teammates during service and contribute to a respectful, collaborative workplace.
  • Protect the guest experience by maintaining quality and professionalism even during busy periods.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous barista, café, smoothie bar, restaurant, or customer-service experience is preferred.
  • Experience preparing espresso-based beverages is strongly preferred for senior barista candidates.
  • Smoothie preparation experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
  • Ability to learn and follow standardized recipes and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and receive feedback professionally.
  • Food Handler certification is required or must be obtained within the required period after hiring.
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant beverage station.

Our Work Environment

Casa Origen is committed to creating a workplace based on collaboration, open communication, teamwork, respect, and personal accountability.

Disrespectful, discriminatory, abusive, or aggressive language and behavior will not be tolerated. We expect every team member to contribute to a professional environment in which employees and guests feel welcomed and respected.
