At Caffè Di Caro, we believe great coffee and genuine hospitality can make someone’s day. We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and proactive barista who takes pride in their work and helps every guest feel welcome.

Your most important responsibility will be opening the café and setting our team up for a successful day. We need someone who arrives on time, notices what needs to be done, and takes action without waiting to be asked.

SCHEDULE

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Additional weekend shifts are available if you would like extra hours.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Opening the café: Follow the opening checklist and make sure the café is clean, organized, stocked, and ready to welcome guests. Turn on and prepare equipment according to café procedures. Check espresso quality and adjust the grinder as trained. Prepare the pastry display, ingredients, and beverage and food stations. Check supplies, prepare the register, and communicate any equipment or inventory concerns promptly.

Coffee, drinks, and food: Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, matcha, and other menu beverages consistently, following our recipes and presentation standards. Prepare, heat, and serve breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and other café items as trained. Learn our menu, answer questions, and make thoughtful recommendations. Follow food safety, handwashing, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures. Handle allergy questions carefully and verify ingredients instead of guessing.

Customer service: Welcome every guest with warmth, kindness, and a positive attitude. Take orders accurately, operate the POS system, and process payments. Keep orders moving efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Handle concerns respectfully and ask for support when needed.

Keeping the café running: Clean and sanitize counters, tables, equipment, dishes, and work areas throughout your shift. Keep the dining area and restrooms clean, stocked, and welcoming. Restock cups, lids, milks, coffee, ingredients, and other essentials before they run out. Follow equipment cleaning procedures and report maintenance needs. Help with dishes, trash, deliveries, and other daily café tasks. Communicate with teammates and leave your station ready for the next shift.
