Barista

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers, take orders accurately, and process payments (cash, card, POS)
• Prepare espresso, cappuccino, latte, iced drinks, and other beverages to the café’s recipes and quality standards
• Steam milk, grind coffee, and operate the espresso machine and grinders properly
• Recommend drinks and menu items, and answer questions about ingredients
• Keep the counter, equipment, and seating area clean and sanitized
• Follow food safety and hygiene rules
• Restock supplies such as milk, beans, syrups, cups, and lids
• Help with opening and closing duties, including cash counting if required
• Handle customer complaints calmly and report issues to the supervisor
