Duties

• Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, smoothies, and specialty drinks with attention to quality and presentation
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and customer seating areas
• Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items following food safety standards
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus
• Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions confidently
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours effectively
