Job Summary

Bloom Coffee Co. is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista to join our café team in Atlanta. We are a woman-owned coffee shop offering specialty coffee, creative lattes, seasonal beverages, and freshly prepared breakfast and lunch selections.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and provide attentive, professional service.
• Prepare espresso drinks, lattes, cappuccinos, brewed coffee, cold brew, tea, and specialty beverages according to established recipes.
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments through the point-of-sale system.
• Explain beverage options, milk alternatives, flavor combinations, and seasonal specials.
• Maintain consistent drink quality, presentation, and preparation times.
• Assist with serving pastries, breakfast items, and other café menu offerings.
• Keep coffee equipment, counters, tables, and service stations clean and organized.
• Restock coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, lids, and other supplies.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and equipment-cleaning procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and general café operations.
• Work closely with coworkers to maintain efficient service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Friendly personality and strong customer service skills.
• Interest in specialty coffee and beverage preparation.
• Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn espresso preparation, milk steaming, and beverage recipes.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Availability for scheduled shifts, including weekends when needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine café duties, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Located near Piedmont Hospital, the café combines specialty coffee with a welcoming space for guests to meet, study, work, or relax. Its menu features classic espresso drinks, house-made syrups, seasonal specialty lattes, and breakfast and lunch items from local bakery partners.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
