Barista

Overview

We’re looking for a friendly, motivated, and reliable Barista to join our close-knit café team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and appreciates being part of a welcoming, community-focused space.

Working in a small café means no two days are exactly the same. From preparing quality coffee and serving customers to keeping the café running smoothly, you’ll be involved in all aspects of daily operations. We value teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude, and we’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, teas, and other menu items to a high standard.
• Provide friendly, attentive customer service and create a welcoming experience for every guest.
• Take customer orders, process payments, and operate the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café, including the bar, seating area, and washrooms.
• Restock supplies, monitor inventory, and ensure ingredients and products are readily available.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including daily preparation and end-of-day cleaning.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Adapt to changing priorities and jump in wherever help is needed.
• Take initiative in identifying tasks that need attention and maintaining a clean, inviting space.

Pay: From $17.95 per hour
