Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Barista to join our Fresh Start Family! The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and people, with the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for our patrons. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, pastries, and desserts while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining areas.
• Assist with food offerings as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Efficiently receiving Special Order Request and delivering them to our baking team.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
• Uphold the café's standards for quality and presentation in all food and beverage items served.
• Stay informed about new products and promotions to effectively sell to customers.
• Complete Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Cleaning and Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or café environment is preferred but not required.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety practices in a food service setting.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn about different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and café operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
