Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of high-quality beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and standards.
• Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS system, processing cash, credit cards, and mobile payments efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning equipment, counters, tables, and food preparation surfaces to meet food safety standards.
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about beverages and food items, and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
• Manage food handling responsibilities by adhering to proper food safety procedures during beverage preparation and food service.
• Support the team in food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus.
• Proficiency with POS systems is desirable; basic math skills are essential for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light cleaning duties, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks seamlessly during busy hours.
• Experience with beverage service, drink preparation, and retail sales transactions will be highly valued.
