Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Barista / Shift Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will deliver outstanding customer service, craft delicious beverages, and lead by example during your shift. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help create a welcoming environment that keeps customers coming back while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of specialty beverages with an upbeat energy, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly and efficiently
• Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across the coffee shop area, including food handling and food preparation
• Support team members during busy periods by assisting with beverage service, cash handling, and food prep
• Lead shifts by overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality standards are met, and motivating team members
• Manage cash transactions, process payments accurately, and handle register reconciliation at shift end

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with guests
• Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction processing
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience in food service or coffee shop environments is a plus
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Commitment to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures

Pay: $13.75 - $14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 32.0 per week
