Responsibilities

• Supervise and work with baristas during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality beverage preparation
• Lead by example in preparing coffee drinks, and food items with precision and care
• Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems
• Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained throughout the café area
• Assist with training new team members on food handling, beverage service, cash handling, and food safety procedures
• Oversee cash register operations, processing cash transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in retail math and cashiering tasks
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests warmly, addressing inquiries promptly, and resolving issues effectively

Requirements

• Proven experience as a barista with a strong background in coffee preparation and beverage service
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a food service or café environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail transactions
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
• Strong communication skills to lead the team and interact positively with customers
• Food industry experience with a focus on serving and providing exceptional customers service is highly desirable
• Java 18 is open Monday thru Saturday

Pay: $10.50 - $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
