Barista Supervisor

About this Role

As a Shift Supervisor, you are a lead barista and front-line manager. You will help oversee daily cafe operations, coach team members, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and foster a welcoming work environment guided by our "Feel At Home" motto

Requirements

• 3–6 months of barista experience.
• 6 months to 1 year of supervisor experience.
• Manager Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
• Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication, conflict-resolution skills, and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities

Shift Leadership & Operations

• Open and close the cafe, managing shift notes and POS functions like comps and voids.
• Fill schedule gaps and proactively solve operational issues in the absence of the manager.

Team Coaching & Culture

• Train and mentor baristas on drink standards, workflow, and coffee knowledge.
• Assist the Manager with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new staff.

Quality & Hospitality

• Maintain beverage and food quality, speed of service, and presentation standards.
• Build authentic relationships with guests to deliver warm, high-quality hospitality.
• Participate in weekly and monthly meetings regarding menu updates and strategy.

Health & Safety

• Enforce state and local food safety standards and cafe safety protocols.
• Manage weekly and monthly deep-cleaning schedules.

Pay: From $13.50 per hour
