Barista Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Barista Supervisor to lead our dynamic café team. As a Barista Supervisor, you will coordinate food and beverage preparation, manage retail sales transactions, and uphold food safety standards—all while fostering a positive team atmosphere that energizes both staff and customers alike.

Duties

• Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer experiences
• Lead and motivate a team of baristas, providing training on beverage preparation, food handling, and customer service best practices
• Oversee non-alcoholic beverage preparation, including espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and specialty coffees
• Manage retail sales transactions using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; process cash and card payments accurately
• Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are maintained throughout the café environment
• Assist with food preparation and beverage service to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, beverages, and food supplies; coordinate stock replenishment as needed
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and process cash transactions efficiently
• Uphold health regulations related to food handling and food safety standards in accordance with local guidelines

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or café environments with a focus on coffee or beverage preparation
• Proven leadership skills in supervising or managing a team within a retail or food service setting
• Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
• Experience with cash handling, cashiering, and processing retail sales transactions accurately
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
• Familiarity with non-alcoholic beverage preparation techniques and drink service protocols
• Basic math skills for cash reconciliation and inventory management
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $24.05 - $28.96 per hour
