Barista / Café All-Rounder

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Barista / Café All-Rounder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quality coffee, providing excellent customer service and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the café.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, flat white and other beverages
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service
• Prepare and serve food, drinks and takeaway orders
• Assist with food preparation and basic kitchen duties when required
• Serve alcohol responsibly and in accordance with liquor licensing requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the café
• Clear and clean tables and service areas
• Restock coffee, food, beverages and other supplies
• Operate the POS system and handle cash/EFTPOS transactions
• Follow food safety, workplace health and safety procedures
• Assist the kitchen and other team members during busy periods
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

About You

• Previous barista or café experience preferred
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate required
• Confident in preparing quality coffee
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, energetic and approachable
• Reliable, punctual and well presented
• Able to work efficiently under pressure
• Works well as part of a team
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Willing to assist across all areas of the café
• Weekend availability is required
• Flexible to occasionally work additional shifts when required(Friday/Saturday Nights)
• Public holiday availability is an advantage
