Hours: 15–25 hours per week

About the Role

The Munich Cafe is looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. We are seeking someone who is passionate about coffee, customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. This position is offering 15–25 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and café menu items.
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive experience for every customer.
• Take customer orders and process payments accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café, coffee station, and dining areas.
• Assist with food preparation and serving when required.
• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while supporting fellow team members.

Skills and Experience

• Previous barista or café experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare a range of espresso-based coffees consistently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays.

Requirements

• Current right to work in Australia.
• Food Handling Certificate (preferred but not essential).
• Barista training or previous café experience is highly regarded.
