Barista and Frontline Bakery Associate Job Description

We're looking for a friendly and efficient Barista and Frontline Bakery Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is perfect for someone who loves customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, responsible for preparing delicious coffee and ensuring our bakery items are beautifully presented and sold with a smile.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service:
• Greet every customer with a warm welcome and provide exceptional service.
• Take customer orders accurately and answer questions about our menu and bakery items.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
• Barista Duties:
• Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty coffees, following our specific recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized coffee station, including all machines, grinders, and counters.
• Monitor and restock beverage supplies throughout your shift.
• Frontline Bakery Duties:
• Arrange and display bakery items attractively in our display cases.
• Keep the display cases clean and well-stocked throughout the day.
• Package and sell bakery items to customers, handling cash, credit, and gift card transactions accurately.
• Assist with light food preparation, such as slicing bread or packaging pastries.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or retail environment is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train the right person.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask in a busy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Capability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed to stock and clean.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.90 - $18.00 per hour
