What they need

Job Overview

We're looking for a barista/all rounder to join our small but friendly team in Bourton on the Water. You'll be working both solo (on our quieter days off peak) and as part of a small team (during weekends, school holidays and busier seasons). We pride ourselves on giving a friendly, welcoming experience and providing seasonally changing, wholesome products, working with great local suppliers and ethical businesses. You'll be making coffee, matcha and seasonal drinks, aswell as preparing a small menu of seasonally changing foods for customers to have in or takeaway such as acai bowls, soups and paninis.

This role can be flexible. We are looking for either two part time or a full time team member. We have the flexibility to provide a role that can suit you in terms of number of days and hours worked, though you must be available to work both weekdays and weekends (shared fairly to provide good work life balance). This role is not suitable for somebody currently at school or university due to the availability needed during term time.

We would love to add permanent members to our team though we would also be happy to consider temporary roles (6-12 months or beyond) for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing hot and cold barista drinks to a consistently high standard
  • Engaging with customers as soon as they walk through the door and providing a friendly environment to all our lovely regulars and tourists alike.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised space, proactively tidying and cleaning during quieter periods.
  • Managing customer expectations and providing a smooth service.
  • Processing transactions and handling customer payments efficiently.
  • Restocking supplies regularly and supporting with organising and receiving orders.
  • Following all food safety protocols and company policies diligently to guarantee quality and safety.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality and barista experience is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage customer expectations confidently.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, alone or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • A proactive attitude and a passion for people.

If this sounds like a role that could be for you, please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself and what you're looking for!
