Job Overview

RAMP and ServSafe certifications required prior to hire (can be obtained online).

Weekends are required. This will be primarily an 11am-6pm (8pm on Friday) shift.

This is a fast-paced, demanding position requiring the ability to multi-task and work efficiently. You will be on your feet for 8 hours.

The position entails taking customer orders, checking out retail items and making specialty coffees and drinks. Provide exceptional customer service is an integral part of the job.. Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and recipes
• Operate POS systems/cash register for processing sales accurately and efficiently
• Handle retail sales transactions with cash handling expertise, ensuring correct change and receipt issuance
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage equipment, and dining spaces
• Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about food safety standards, and provide excellent customer service
• Manage food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
• Support the team during busy hours by serving customers promptly and managing multiple tasks effectively

Skills (Preferred but will train)

• Proven experience as a barista with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service best practices preferred but we will train.
• Strong cashiering skills with familiarity in processing cash transactions using POS systems
• Skills (Required)
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and active listening abilities
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and transaction processing
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in a café or food industry setting
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods

Pay: $16.00 per hour
