Duties

• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages and specialty drinks with precision and care, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and serve with a positive attitude to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS to process transactions swiftly and accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly, including giving correct change and balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service area, including food preparation surfaces, coffee machines, and dining spaces, adhering to food safety standards.
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items when needed.
• Support team members during busy periods by managing serving duties efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene are upheld at all times.
• Keep track of inventory levels for supplies like cups, lids, coffee beans, and other essentials to ensure smooth operations.

Experience

• Previous experience working in the food industry or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
• Barista experience is highly valued; familiarity with coffee brewing techniques and beverage customization is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and processing transactions accurately.
• Experience using POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for efficient transaction processing.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining quality service standards.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

Pay: $34.60-$36.29 per hour
