Barista/Event Staff

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and food items with precision and care
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
• Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cashiering and basic math calculations for sales totals and change
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and service areas
• Assist in setting up, supporting, and breaking down event spaces to ensure smooth operations during special functions
• Handle food handling procedures responsibly, adhering to safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques
• Traveling to events and potential working at both farmers' markets and night markets.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in coffee industry settings preferred
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service in retail or food service settings
• Knowledge of food safety practices, food preparation, serving techniques, and food handling regulations
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions and cash handling duties
• Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
