Barista/FOH

Central Perk, the cafe inspired by the iconic tv series “Friends” is looking for experienced baristas, retail salespeople, greeters and runners for our new Times Square location. With a menu that boasts a wide variety of tasty coffee and food options, in a setting that is modern yet reminiscent of the familiar coffeehouse from the beloved TV show, the soul of Central Perk remains intact, promising an unparalleled dining and coffee experience for locals and visitors alike.

Responsibilities:

• Providing exceptional customer service in a high volume setting.
• Consistently producing quality food, beverages and experiences for our customers.
• (Barista roles)- strong knowledge of coffee brew methods, dialing in espresso and navigating a full service coffee bar.
• (Barista roles) Upholding Food safety standards.
• Maintaining department inventory and task standards.
• Modeling/representing Central Perk company culture/practice standards.
• Facilitating the needs of and helping direct a high volume of customers, daily.
• Restocking/organizing merchandise.
• Driving sales of retail merchandise, food and beverages.
• Cash handling and reporting.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience of customer service in a fast paced cafe/restaurant retail environment
• (Barista roles)- Knowledge of coffee brew methods, dialing in espresso and navigating a full service coffee bar.
• (Barista roles) Food Safety Certification.
• Availability for at least 3-4 shifts a week.
• Enthusiastic, hardworking, and eager to learn.
• Comfortable with cash handling and maintaining store safety.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Benefits: $17-20/hr +Tips
