Barista/Shift Lead

Do you love coffee and tea? Do you enjoy random conversations with the varied individuals of West Asheville including artists, musicians, writers, teachers, health care workers, even software designers?

Odd's Cafe is hiring 1-2 friendly, upbeat, hardworking, and unique Barista(s). Prior barista experience is preferred, but not required. This would be a full-time position (30-40 hours, 4-5 shifts a week). We are open from 7am to 7pm. Shifts run from 6pm-2pm and 1:30pm to close (7:30pm usually).Open availability is required. And weekends are a must. At this time we are looking for a long-term employee who can learn and grow with us!

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a barista preferred or at minimum in a fast paced food service establishment
• Comfortable in a leadership role and/or determination to develop your skills as a leader.
• High integrity with a great attendance record; the longer you stayed in past jobs, the better
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively
• Willing and able to work closely with a team.
• Enjoy fast paced work with a shot of chaos now and then
• All Odd's employees work a balance of morning and night shifts
• Availability to work weekends is required

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
