Barista/Supervisor

Kallista Tea Rooms looking for a Cafe Supervisor to join our team near Belgrave.

This isn't a role for someone still finding their feet. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of front of house operations, lead from the floor, and keep service, quality, and workflow running at a consistently high standard.

You should already be confident running service independently, making decisions under pressure, and setting the tone for the team every day.

You'll be leading a young team, so your ability to guide, align, and step in when needed is critical. We value people who stay calm, think clearly, and take responsibility when things get busy.

Key Responsibilities

Specialty Coffee: Dial in espresso, steam milk with precision, and craft high-quality specialty coffee drinks in fast paced Environment.

Greeting The Customer : Be someone who eager to greet customer rather than avoiding them even during busy time.

Customer Relationship Building: Be bubbly, energetic, and welcoming! Greet regulars, learn their orders, and build lasting relationships with our daily customers.

Cafe All-Rounder Duties: Handle Operation between FoH and BoH, serve food and beverages, and keep the counter and seating areas spotless.

Opening & Closing: Execute opening duties (starting early at 8:30 AM) and closing procedures.

POS & Operations: Efficiently take orders, process payments, Keep FoH Customer ready and assist with inventory restocking.

About You

• 3+ years of experience working with specialty coffee in a fast-paced environment.
• At least Six month to 1 Year Supervisory position Experience.
• Minimum 4 days including At least 1 weekend availability is must
• Dependable, punctual, and naturally high energy for early starts.
• Warm, bubbly, and a natural with customers.
• Comfortable running shifts independently or as part of a small team, including food prep and cleaning.
• Must have long-term full work rights (permanent resident or citizen). Please note: We are currently not accepting short-term Working Holiday Visa applicants (e.g., 3-month visas).

Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
