Barman

The Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant, Calangute, is looking for an Assistant Barman to join our team. The candidate will assist with daily bar operations and ensure efficient, professional beverage service while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Barman/Bartender with daily bar operations and beverage service.
• Prepare basic beverages and assist with cocktail and mocktail preparation as required.
• Ensure the bar is properly stocked with beverages, garnishes, glassware and other supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the bar counter, equipment and work areas.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures of the bar.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of beverages and bar equipment.
• Support inventory checks and inform the senior bartender of stock requirements.
• Follow standard recipes, portion controls and service standards.
• Provide courteous and efficient service to guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth and timely beverage service.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and operational standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of beverages, bar equipment and service procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Well-groomed, disciplined and guest-oriented.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Freshers with a strong interest in bar operations may also be considered.
