Barman

Steenberg Golf Club is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and service-oriented Barman to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality, enjoys working with people and is committed to providing excellent guest experiences.

Experience and Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12.
• At least 6 months' bartending experience in a restaurant environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests, take drink orders and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Prepare and serve drinks according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Accurately process orders, manage bills and handle payments using the POS system.
• Maintain good knowledge of the drinks menu, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Recommend drinks, promote specials and assist guests with their selections.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well-stocked bar area.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure stock is properly accounted for and secured.
• Complete opening and closing duties and communicate effectively with the team.
