ABD HOPE CAPITAL PTE LTD is seeking a talented and motivated Bartender / Bar Supervisor / Management Trainee to join our dynamic hospitality team in the Central Region. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career within the bar and beverage industry.

Key responsibilities

As a Bartender / Bar Supervisor / Management Trainee, your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing and serving a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
2. Providing exceptional customer service, engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner to create a welcoming atmosphere
3. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including equipment, glassware, and stock management
4. Managing cash handling and till operations accurately, ensuring financial integrity at all times
5. Monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering of spirits, wines, beers, and bar supplies
6. Adhering to all health, safety, and licensing regulations, including responsible alcohol service
7. For supervisory duties: overseeing bar staff operations, providing training and guidance to team members, and ensuring service standards are maintained
8. For management trainees: assisting with administrative tasks, contributing to staff scheduling, and learning operational management procedures
9. Supporting the wider hospitality team during peak service periods and special events

What we're looking for

To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with:

1. Proven experience as a bartender or within bar and beverage service, demonstrating proficiency in cocktail preparation and drinks knowledge
2. Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and classic cocktails, with the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure during peak service times
5. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
6. Team player mentality with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
7. Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
8. For supervisory or management trainee candidates: demonstrated leadership potential, organisational skills, and experience in training or mentoring staff
9. Relevant certifications such as a mixology qualification or responsible alcohol service training are advantageous
10. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required in the hospitality industry
