Bartender / Bar Support Staff

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Summit Event Center 2 is seeking skilled and personable Bartenders and Bar Support Staff to deliver exceptional beverage service at our events. Whether you're a seasoned mixologist or looking to get your start behind the bar, we'd love to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to event guests
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and organized bar station
• Engage guests professionally and create a welcoming bar atmosphere
• Check guest identification and adhere strictly to responsible service of alcohol (RSA) guidelines
• Manage cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
• Assist with bar setup and breakdown before and after events
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and act in accordance with venue policy
• Collaborate with event coordinators to ensure beverage service aligns with event timelines
• Restock and rotate inventory; report stock requirements to the Bar Manager

REQUIREMENTS

• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) or Equivalent TIPS certification — mandatory
• Prior bartending or bar service experience preferred
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer service
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Cash-handling experience and/or POS system familiarity
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and special event days
• Food Safety certificate is a plus
