Bartender / Barista

The Hotel Britomart is seeking a Casual Bartender & Barista to join our Food & Beverage team on an as-and-when-required basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working in one of Auckland's leading luxury hospitality environments.

About the Role

As a Bartender & Barista, you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding service across our bar, restaurant, breakfast service, and conference & events operations. You'll create consistently high-quality coffees and beverages, engage with guests, and contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects The Hotel Britomart's service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve exceptional coffee and espresso-based beverages
• Create classic cocktails and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
• Deliver attentive and personalised guest service
• Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked bar and coffee stations
• Assist with restaurant and event service as required
• Process orders and payments accurately
• Follow Responsible Service of Alcohol and food safety standards
• Support opening and closing procedures and contribute to team success

About You

You will bring:

• At least 1-2 years' experience in a similar hospitality role
• Strong barista skills and a sound knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beverages
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A positive attitude and team-focused approach
• Professional presentation and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
• LCQ and Food Handler certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
