Bartender

Job Summary

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
• Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, handling cash, credit cards, and tabs efficiently
• Develop new beverage recipes and refine existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions

Experience

• Proven experience as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably with fine dining or banquet experience
• Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle challenging situations professionally
• Experience in food handling, food safety protocols, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards including alcohol service regulations and responsible beverage service practices
