Bartender

Fish Hawk’s is hiring bartenders for our restaurant and bar in Dewey Beach.

We are building a laid-back, coastal-driven tavern focused on craft cocktails, curated beer selections, elevated service, and genuine hospitality. Fish Hawk’s is designed to feel relaxed, welcoming, and polished. You know, the kind of place people settle into at the beginning of a great night, not a chaotic late-night party bar (we close no later than 11pm every night).

We’re looking for bartenders who:

This is a smaller operation, so we are looking for true team players and “rockstar” bartenders who understand that every person on the team matters. Attitude, reliability, and professionalism are just as important to us as experience. We don't appreciate folks who say, "That's not my job." We all run food, clean tables, run drinks, and greet customers. Therefore, if you are someone who likes to stick to their role and remain in one station, maybe we aren't the right place for you. Please don't waste your own time or ours.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare cocktails, beer, and beverages consistently and efficiently
• Deliver polished and friendly guest service
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Verify IDs and follow Delaware alcohol service laws
• Handle cash and payments responsibly
• Assist with prep, stocking, and opening/closing duties
• Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and management

Qualifications:

• Verified previous bartending experience required (at least 2 years)
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Delaware alcohol service certification required (OABCC)
• Ability to stay composed during busy service
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
