Bartender

Description:

The Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is currently seeking a DRIVEN Bartender.

As a bartender, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for our guests while providing exceptional service. You will be expected to have a strong knowledge of wines, and beers, as well as the ability to make recommendations to guests based on their preferences.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Take drink orders and prepare beverages according to established recipes and standards
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Ensure that all guests are of legal drinking age and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines
• Upsell and make recommendations to guests based on their preferences
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Place weekly orders with distributors and update the POS when inventory is received
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a hotel or restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, and beers
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and standards
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
