Prepare cocktails and beverages accurately to approved recipes, measurements, glassware, garnish, and presentation standards; do not free-pour unless expressly authorized by policy.
Verify age using approved identification procedures and refuse or pause alcohol service when required; immediately involve a manager in questionable situations.
Monitor signs of intoxication and guest conduct; follow responsible-service, refusal, incident-reporting, and safe-transport escalation procedures.
Accurately ring all sales before service as required, maintain assigned bank/cash controls, and follow rules for tabs, cards, comps, voids, transfers, discounts, and tip reporting.
Provide knowledgeable menu recommendations while maintaining awareness of allergies and avoiding unverified ingredient assurances.
Maintain bar cleanliness, sanitizer, sinks, tools, mats, drains, trash, glass handling, and closing sanitation; report broken equipment or glass hazards immediately.
Complete prep, batching, inventory counts, side work, closing duties, and handoffs as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior bartending experience in a full-service or high-volume environment preferred.
Working knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, classic cocktails, responsible service, cash handling, and POS systems.
Responsible beverage service certification and food-handler credential as required by law or company policy.
Must meet all legally applicable age requirements for the duties performed.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Extended standing with repetitive reaching, shaking, stirring, pouring, cutting garnish, and handling glassware.
Frequently lift/carry bottles, ice, glass racks, and cases up to approximately 35 pounds; use assistance/equipment for heavier loads.
Exposure to broken glass, wet floors, cleaning chemicals, loud music, refrigeration, and late-night crowds.
