Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and customer preferences.
• Manage bar inventory, restocking supplies efficiently while maintaining accurate records using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Engage with guests to recommend drinks, answer questions about beverages, and provide outstanding customer service that enhances their experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards at all times, adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Develop new beverage recipes and suggest creative drink ideas to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments swiftly, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
• Support bar management by assisting with setup for events like banquets or catering functions, ensuring smooth service during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining or high-volume settings; cocktail experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of wine varieties, brewing processes, beverage recipe development, and craft beer trends.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; excellent basic math skills for retail math and cash handling.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and create a welcoming environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving drinks, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Previous experience in food safety standards and food handling procedures within the food industry or hospitality sector.
• Knowledge of beverage trends including cocktail mixing techniques and wine pairings; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude; previous bar management or serving experience highly desirable.
