What they need
About Quarter French
Quarter French is a neighborhood restaurant that blends French inspiration with Southern hospitality. We believe great restaurants are built by people who genuinely care about hospitality—not just service.
Our goal is heavily collaborative: to create memorable experiences through thoughtful food, exceptional beverages, warm hospitality, and attention to detail. Whether it's someone's first coffee of the morning or their anniversary dinner, every interaction matters.
We're building a team of professionals who take pride in what they do, enjoy working hard together, and want to be part of opening something special from day one.
Position Overview
At Quarter French, our bar is more than a place where drinks are made—it's an extension of our hospitality and one of the defining experiences of our restaurant.
We're looking for bartenders who see their craft as both an art and a profession. Individuals who are passionate about classic technique, thoughtful ingredients, and continuous learning, while understanding that the best cocktail is only as memorable as the experience surrounding it.
As a Bartender, you'll create exceptional cocktails, coffee beverages, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and consistency while serving as both a host and guide for our guests. You'll help shape the atmosphere of the bar through genuine conversation, thoughtful recommendations, and attention to every detail.
We're looking for professionals who take pride in their craft, embrace creativity, value teamwork, and are excited to grow alongside Quarter French as we continue to evolve our beverage program.
What you will do:
Hospitality & Guest Experience
- Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
- Create an engaging, approachable, and memorable bar experience for every guest.
- Build meaningful relationships with regular guests while making first-time visitors feel immediately welcome.
- Read the pace and personality of each guest, adapting your style to create the right experience.
- Handle guest concerns with confidence, empathy, and professionalism.
Beverage Craft
- Prepare cocktails, beer, wine, coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Execute classic cocktails and Quarter French signature beverages to recipe specifications.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, wines, beer, coffee, tea, and seasonal ingredients.
- Recommend beverages confidently based on guest preferences and food pairings.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and execution during every service.
Creativity & Continuous Learning
- Stay curious about emerging cocktail trends, classic techniques, spirits, wine, coffee, and hospitality.
- Contribute thoughtful ideas for seasonal cocktails, specials, and beverage program development.
- Participate in ongoing beverage education, tastings, and training.
- Continuously refine your technical skills while remaining open to coaching and feedback.
Bar Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service.
- Accurately process orders using our POS system.
- Prepare fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, and other mise en place.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product needs.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards.
- Complete opening, running, side work, and closing responsibilities with pride and attention to detail.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with servers, barbacks, hosts, food runners, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless service.
- Support fellow team members during busy periods without hesitation.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment.
- Take ownership of the overall guest experience—not just the guests seated at the bar.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for hospitality professionals who are passionate about bartending as both a craft and a career.
Our ideal candidates are:
- Passionate about cocktails, spirits, wine, coffee, and beverage culture.
- Naturally warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoy creating memorable guest experiences.
- Curious and committed to continuous learning, always seeking to deepen their knowledge and refine their craft.
- Creative thinkers who appreciate both classic techniques and thoughtful innovation.
- Calm, composed, and efficient under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to consistency and quality in every drink served.
- Strong communicators who thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Professional, accountable, and dependable.
- Adaptable and capable of balancing precision with speed during high-volume service.
- Team-oriented individuals who take pride in supporting those around them.
Previous bartending experience is preferred, particularly in craft cocktail, upscale casual, or fine dining environments. Experience with espresso preparation is a plus, and candidates interested in serving as a Barista/Bartender hybrid are strongly encouraged to apply.
