Bartender

We are looking for a bartender to join a busy Birmingham city centre venue. This is a full-time role in a genuine hospitality setting where the drinks matter, the service matters, and the person behind the bar is a big part of why people come back. You do not need years of high-end experience, but you do need solid fundamentals and the appetite to sharpen them.

The bar draws a broad crowd through the week: after-work groups, weekend trade, private bookings and plenty of regulars who know exactly what they want. Shifts move quickly, especially Friday and Saturday, so we need someone who stays organised and keeps their head when three tables order at once.

Here is what makes this role worth your time. We provide proper hands-on training in cocktail making, mixology and flair, so whatever your current level, you leave a stronger bartender than you arrived. If you have wanted to build real technique behind the stick rather than just churn out the same four drinks, this is where you do it.

This suits someone a step or two past entry level who wants to keep progressing, not someone after casual shifts to fill a gap.

What You'll Be Doing

• Making classic and signature cocktails to a consistent standard
• Serving customers well through quiet spells and rushes alike
• Keeping the bar clean, stocked and organised during peak trade
• Building your knowledge across spirits, wines and mixers
• Holding your standards steady when the bar is three deep
• Helping newer staff find their feet
• Supporting stock rotation and daily bar routines
• Keeping to licensing and health & safety at all times

What We're After

• Some bartending experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel or similar
• A working knowledge of cocktails and spirits, and the drive to grow it
• Tidy presentation and clear, friendly communication
• The composure to work at pace without cutting corners
• Reliability and a bit of pride in the job
• A real interest in hospitality and looking after guests
