Bartender

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Greet guests warmly and take their orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service policies at all times.
• Manage multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the POS system effectively.
• Monitor guest intoxication levels and refuse service when appropriate, prioritising safety.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
• Oversee all daily bar operations
• Lead, train, and motivate bar staff
• Deliver exceptional customer service
• Manage stock control, ordering, and monitoring, delivering
• Ensure cellar management, line cleaning, and product quality
• Maintain compliance with uk licencing laws, challenge 25, and health & safety regulations
• Handle cash management, till reconciliation, and reporting
• Support recruitment, staff scheduling and perfomance management
• Drive sales through promotions, events, and upselling
• Maintain a welcoming, community-focused pub atmosphere

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service is preferred.
• Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
• Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
• Good organisational abilities to keep the bar area clean and well-stocked.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
