28 nomad, a contemporary Asian restaurant in NoMad, is looking for a Bartender to join our front-of-house team.

Our beverage program is an important part of the 28 nomad experience. We offer a focused list of original, seasonal cocktails alongside a carefully curated wine program, beer, Korean sool and spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. Our cocktails incorporate thoughtful techniques and house-made ingredients while remaining approachable and enjoyable for our guests.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about hospitality and is interested in growing their beverage knowledge. You do not need to know everything when you walk in. Strong cocktail, wine, or spirits knowledge is a plus, but curiosity, attention to detail, consistency, and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
• Learn and consistently execute 28 nomad’s cocktail recipes and beverage standards
• Provide warm, attentive, and knowledgeable service to bar guests
• Help guests navigate our cocktail, wine, and beverage selections based on their preferences
• Complete daily bar prep, including batching, syrups, cordials, juices, garnishes, and other house preparations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
• Handle glassware, bar tools, equipment, and beverage products properly
• Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and inventory organization
• Work closely with servers, captains, and the kitchen to ensure smooth service
• Continue developing knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, Korean sool, and our food menu

What We’re Looking For

Previous bartending or strong restaurant experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates who are motivated to learn and grow into the position.

• Works cleanly and stays organized under pressure
• Has strong attention to detail
• Can handle both guest-facing bar service and a busy service well
• Is reliable, punctual, and communicates well with the team
• Is curious about cocktails, wine, spirits, and food
• Takes feedback well and wants to improve
• Understands that great bartending is about hospitality and teamwork, not just making drinks

Our seasonal menu is designed for sharing and draws from Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and other Asian influences. Our beverage program follows the same philosophy: thoughtful and precise without being pretentious.

Our style of service is simple: warm, knowledgeable, and precise.
