Bartender

Job Summary

This position is perfect for a seasoned bartender who is comfortable working independently. Your success will be based on how well you can promote the bar and the events on social media and word of mouth. Duties

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
• Process cash and card transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to increase sales and customer satisfaction
• Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and monitor alcohol consumption to promote responsible service
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate food and beverage service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or nightclubs

Requirements

• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining, or hospitality environments with strong mixology skills
• Knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during peak hours
• Familiarity with beverage recipe development, wine knowledge, spirits expertise, and craft beer experience
• Experience in food handling, food safety standards, and proper cash handling procedures
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event shifts such as catering or banquet functions
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management
