Bartender

Position Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and applicable laws. Bartenders are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, accurately process transactions, follow company policies, maintain regular and reliable attendance, and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws and Responsible Beverage Service requirements.
• Provide professional, friendly, and attentive customer service.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Open and close customer tabs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas, equipment, and workstations.
• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Accurately report tips and complete required end-of-shift procedures.
• Communicate inventory shortages, customer concerns, and operational issues to management.
• Accurately record all hours worked using the Company’s timekeeping procedures.
• Clock in and out for shifts and meal periods as required.
• Follow attendance, scheduling, meal period, rest break, and workplace conduct policies.
• Report to work on time and work assigned shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation preferred.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid California Responsible Beverage Service certification.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, closing shifts, and special events as scheduled.
• Schedules are based on business needs, and specific shifts or days off are not guaranteed.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the bar area.

Pay: $16.90 - $17.50 per hour
