Bartender

About the role

The Bunker is looking for an experienced and passionate Cocktail Bartender to join our team in the heart of Queenstown. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their craft, provides genuine hospitality and enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. The ideal candidate will have solid cocktail knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to create memorable experiences for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Create and serve cocktails with solid cocktail knowledge and attention to detail
• Provide genuine hospitality and memorable experiences for every guest
• Work in a fast-paced, high-quality environment
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization and presentation
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
• Work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

About you

• Previous bartending experience, ideally in a cocktail bar or premium restaurant
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits and basic wine service
• Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional, positive and team-focused attitude
• High standards of cleanliness, organization and presentation
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Valid New Zealand work visa or unrestricted working rights
• Current LCQ or Duty Manager's Certificate would be an advantage, but is not essential
