Bartender

Overview

Hartland Glen Golf Course is seeking a friendly, dependable bartender to join our Bar & Grill team. The bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, take food orders, provide excellent customer service, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for golfers, outing guests, league members, and the general public.

The ideal candidate is personable, organized, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable handling multiple customer orders at once. Availability on weekdays and weekends is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
• Prepare and serve beer, wine, mixed drinks, and nonalcoholic beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Enter orders and process payments using the point-of-sale system.
• Verify identification and follow all Michigan liquor laws.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and serve guests responsibly.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and properly handle credit-card transactions and tips.
• Keep the bar, counters, coolers, and surrounding areas clean and organized.
• Restock beer, liquor, mixers, garnishes, cups, and other supplies.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Help serve golf outings, leagues, tournaments, and special events.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure food orders are prepared and delivered correctly.
• Wash and properly store glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.

Pay: $7.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
