Bartender

Overview

Looking for friendly people to join our team! We are predominantly a Breakfast & Lunch spot with evening hours on Fridays & Saturdays.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits, following established recipes and standards.
• Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their experience and promote beverage sales.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process cash transactions accurately while managing tabs efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to menu updates that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
• Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste through effective stock control.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to coordinate service during busy hours, special events, or banquets while ensuring smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in bartending within fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or catering environments.
• Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques, spirits, wine varieties, craft beer styles, and beverage recipe development.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods while maintaining quality service.
• Food handling certification and adherence to food safety standards are required.
• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable; nightclub or banquet experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding for inventory management, and food safety knowledge are essential.

Pay: $5.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
