Experienced Bartender — Weekend Availability Required

JDs Stage Bistro is seeking reliable, experienced bartenders to join our growing beverage team. We are a busy restaurant and live-music venue offering craft cocktails, beer, wine, dinner service, and live entertainment four to five nights per week.

Previous professional bartending experience and weekend availability are required. Applications without relevant bartending experience will not be considered.

What We’re Looking For

• Professional bartending experience in a restaurant, bar, or event setting.
• Working knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
• Consistent weekend availability.
• Reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain organized and efficient during high-volume service.
• Genuine hospitality and confidence interacting with guests.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and grow with an evolving beverage program.
• Ability to work collaboratively with servers, support staff, and the kitchen.
• Catering, banquet, or private-event experience is especially valuable.
• TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification is required, and must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.

Responsibilities

• Prepare classic and signature cocktails accurately and consistently.
• Serve beer, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to guests.
• Produce service-well drinks efficiently during busy dinner and show service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready bar.
• Complete opening, closing, stocking, and side-work responsibilities.
• Accurately operate the POS system and handle guest payments.
• Follow responsible alcohol-service standards and all applicable regulations.
• Support private events and catered functions as our event spaces expand.
• Adapt to menu updates, seasonal offerings, and continued beverage education.

Schedule

• The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays.
• Bartending shifts generally begin at 3:00 p.m. and continue through closing.
• Evening and weekend availability is required.
• Part-time positions are currently available, with the potential for full-time hours in the coming months.

Compensation and Benefits

• $8–$10 per hour based on experience, plus tips.
• Server tip-out is 10% of alcohol sales.
